Lipno lake

The Lipno region of South Bohemia is a unique blend of beautiful, wild , pristine nature, full of historical and technical sights,places of interest, a wide range of sports and cultural events and activities, as well as a great variety of accommodation, restaurants and other facilities.

Lipno is located close to central Šumava , the town of Český Krumlov ( UNESCO, revolving  theatre) and to the chateau at Hluboká. Within the region there are hundreds of kilometers of bike paths, which are also suitable for in-line skating ( with varying degrees of difficulty and various surfaces). There are also a great number of hiking trails which will take you through the beautiful countryside and to historical, technical, and cultural places of interest.

Sport in the Lipno region

Lipno is also a renowned fishing area  with many trophy catches such as pike, sheatfish, and zander. It is a popular destination for water and water sport lovers.

 There are fantastic beaches, and it is one of the best places for windsurfing and yachting in the Czech Republic. Rafting down the Vltava is another immensly popular activity.

Šumava

Nature in the Šumava can be explored on foot, by bike, on in-line skates or on horse back. People of all ages will find suitable activities and they will look forward to returning. A great many cultural and sport ventures/events take place within the region during both the summer and winter seasons.

Skiing Lipno

Do not miss this unique opportunity to enjoy skiing on the slopes of Hochficht ski resort  while staying in our guest house in Horní Planá. Half board accomodation at excellent prices. There is natural snow (70-90cm) throughout the resort during the season.
